International Coordination for Efficiency and Innovation in Water Management
Our objective is to articulate international cooperation to contribute to improving operational efficiency, working on fundamental issues such as water security, governance, non-revenue water, technological innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), leakage management, tariff regime models, climate challenges, water sustainability, energy efficiency and nature-based solutions, among others.
This challenge requires strengthening cooperation ties and generating spaces that allow joint activities to be articulated, exchange experiences and knowledge, and incorporate good practices. To this end, International Affairs has the following functions:
- Articulate and promote links with regional and global institutions and organizations, generating networking related to the interests of the Company.
- Manage, promote and support integration and participation in international cooperation and exchange programs.
- Promote knowledge and training at the local, regional and international level, carrying out activities that involve the company's personnel.
- Promote the development of new opportunities and businesses for AySA.
- Serve as the Secretariat of WOP-LAC (regional platform that promotes the exchange of experiences and good practices between water and sanitation operators in Latin America and the Caribbean). See more about WOP-LAC »
Management Focus – International Cooperation
We gear our management toward strengthening interdisciplinary networks and strategic ties with service providers, agencies, institutions, embassies, and industry companies at both regional and international levels. Through these relationships, we foster the transfer of technology and knowledge, driving innovation and operational efficiency as part of our company's transformation.
In this context, we engage in cooperative efforts with key stakeholders in the International Water Agenda and strengthen ties with institutions and organizations in Sweden, Israel, Canada, Spain, France, Finland, Norway, Turkey, Hungary, and China. We also participate in events such as the LATAM Water Summit II in Cartagena, Colombia, and the IWA-WHO "Call to Action" initiative, among other international initiatives and gatherings related to the sector.
